On the reaction day the stock moved 1.7 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 0.2 pts less than its Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Company approved a private placement of up to Rs 2,000 crore in secured, redeemable non-convertible debentures. Series ZCB G1 has a Rs 750 crore base and Rs 1,250 crore cap; Series G2 has a Rs 250 crore base and Rs 750 crore cap. Debentures will be listed on BSE and carry a first-ranking charge over hypothecated assets. Coupon and redemption terms are in the key information document. Late payments after three months carry 2 percent extra interest.
The issue may fund growth without equity dilution, but adds repayment duties that could weigh on the stock if investors dislike the higher debt.
