Poonawalla Fincorp reported Q3 FY26 standalone PAT of Rs 150.22 crore, sharply up from Rs 18.73 crore a year ago, on total income of Rs 1,818.48 crore versus Rs 1,057.17 crore. Nine month PAT swung to Rs 287.02 crore profit from Rs 160.67 crore loss. Board gave in-principle approval to raise up to Rs 5,500 crore via equity QIP or other modes, and up to Rs 20,000 crore via NCDs on private placement in FY27. Also appointed Mr. Vikas Pandey as Whole-time Director for 5 years. Postal ballot sought for shareholder approval.
Strong Q3 earnings turnaround is positive. Large equity raise of up to Rs 5,500 crore may cause dilution concerns for existing shareholders.
