The project involves a capacity of 150 MW/300 MWh at the 400/220kV SS Kalikiri sub-station in Chittoor District, under the Build-Own-Operate model. It is part of a larger 2,000 MWh cumulative BESS tender floated by APTRANSCO for 'on Demand' usage, with Viability Gap Funding support through PSDF. The Letter of Award was received by POWERGRID on 29th December 2025.
