Power Mech Projects' wholly owned subsidiary PM Green Private Limited has received a large-scale order from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), a state government entity, as the Lead Member. The order involves setting up a 250 MW / 1,000 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Goaltore, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, under the Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model with a 100% off-take guarantee from WBSEDCL. It includes an additional greenshoe option of another 250 MW / 1,000 MWh at the Durgapur Project Limited campus. The total order value is ₹3,126 Crores (excluding GST), with scheduled commissioning in 18 months and a 180-month O&M period. The order is domestic, not a related party transaction, and the promoter group has no interest in WBSEDCL.
This is a major order win for Power Mech, likely worth close to or exceeding its annual revenue, providing strong revenue visibility and a foothold in the energy storage segment. The 15-year O&M contract and 100% off-take guarantee from a state government entity significantly de-risk the project's cash flows, which is positive for long-term shareholders.
