Praxis Home Retail has shut down two of its stores, citing operational unviability. The Gachibowli (Hyderabad) store, contributing Rs 3.17 crore (2.66% of FY25 revenue), will be vacated by January 15, 2026. The Rajarhat (Kolkata) store, contributing Rs 8.90 crore (7.48% of FY25 revenue), will be vacated by January 30, 2026. Together, these closures represent roughly 10% of the company's FY25 revenue base. Management says it is exploring other strategic locations to expand its footprint. Separately, BSE has imposed a fine of Rs 3.60 lakh on the company for a 17-day delay in seeking listing approval for equity shares allotted on November 10, 2025, pursuant to conversion of warrants. The company says the delay was inadvertent.
Closing two loss-making or underperforming stores removes about 10% of last year's revenue but may improve overall profitability if these stores were dragging margins. The BSE fine is minor (Rs 3.6 lakh) and largely procedural, though it reflects a compliance lapse. Net effect is mildly negative on top-line but could be margin-positive if replaced by better-performing locations.
