Premier Energies has commissioned a new 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur, Telangana, and trial production has begun. The plant spans 75 acres, is expected to create around 2,000 jobs, and uses advanced G12R TOPCon 0BB (Zero Busbar) technology with AI-based fault detection, capable of producing four high-efficiency modules every 16 seconds. With this addition, the company's total solar module capacity has risen to 11.1 GW, making it one of India's largest solar manufacturers. The expansion is part of a larger ₹12,500 crore capex plan over three years to more than double capacity, add backward integration into ingots and wafers, and diversify into inverters, transformers and battery systems.
