Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Protean's board approved buying a 4.95% equity stake (93.74 lakh shares) in NSDL Payments Bank for Rs.30.20 crore in cash. NSDL PB is a wholly owned subsidiary of NSDL, focused on digital banking and financial inclusion with FY25 gross income of Rs.721.6 crore. Deal is at arm's length, not a related party transaction, expected to close in 60 days. Also appointed Mr. V Easwaran as Executive Director for 3 years.
Strategic move into digital banking and payments; small minority stake so limited near-term earnings impact, but opens new growth avenues.
