On the reaction day the stock moved 1.0 pts less than Nifty 100 and 1.9 pts more than its Public Sector Bank peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
PNB reported Q2 FY27 net profit of INR 5,532 crore, up 12.8% year on year. Domestic net interest margin rose 10 basis points to 2.74%, with another 7 to 9 basis points expected in Q3. Gross and net bad-loan ratios fell to 2.55% and 0.25%. Advances grew 14.7% to INR 13.41 lakh crore, supported by a INR 1.58 lakh crore credit pipeline.
Strong profit growth, improving margins and lower bad loans support the outlook, but agriculture stress and future provision needs remain risks.
