Punjab & Sind Bank's Q2 FY27 business rose 15.73% to Rs 2.79 lakh crore. Net profit jumped nearly 40% to Rs 412 crore; net interest margin rose 0.17 points to 2.77%, and bad loan ratios eased to 2.09% and 0.61%. Management guided 18-20% loan growth and better margins, and disclosed a Rs 20,000 crore corporate loan pipeline. It targets Rs 3 lakh crore business in FY27 and Rs 4 lakh crore by FY29. New credit-loss rules may add Rs 700 crore, and a share sale is planned.
Profit growth, margin gains and better asset quality are positive, but new credit provisions and a possible share sale may weigh on earnings or dilute equity.
