Pyramid Technoplast is scheduled to start its Unit IX recycling plant on October 4, 2025. Built at a cost of ₹8-10 crore, it can recycle 5,000 metric tons of plastic annually and meet 10-12% of the company's raw material needs. Management expects lower import reliance, cost savings and a four-year payback. The company is also transitioning from thermal power to an approximately 15 MW renewable solar plant.
The plant may reduce input and import costs and improve margins, with management expecting a four-year payback.
