Railtel has secured a work order from East Central Railway valued at Rs. 2,64,06,97,427 (approximately Rs. 264 crores including tax). The contract involves implementing the indigenous Train Collision Avoidance System (Kavach) on 607 RKm of low-density railway track. The order was received on July 14, 2025, and is to be executed by July 14, 2027, giving a two-year execution window. The order is domestic in nature, with no related party involvement, and the promoter group has no interest in the awarding entity.
This is a significant order win for Railtel, strengthening its order book and reinforcing its position in the railway safety and Kavach deployment segment. For shareholders, this is a positive development as it adds revenue visibility over the next two years and highlights the government's continued push for indigenous rail safety systems.
