RailTel's board approved unaudited Q2 FY2026-27 revenue of Rs 1,146.14 crore, up 20.5% from Rs 951.36 crore. Total income rose 19.0% to Rs 1,149.06 crore, but exceptional items cut profit before tax to Rs 92.30 crore and profit after tax fell 9.9% to Rs 68.56 crore. H1 revenue rose 20.3% to Rs 2,039.41 crore, while profit after tax fell 5.5% to Rs 134.34 crore. EPS was Rs 2.14. It declared an interim dividend of Rs 1 per share.
Strong revenue growth and the Rs 1 dividend may support the stock, but lower profit after tax and EPS could temper gains.
