RailTel has secured a work order worth Rs 164.79 crore (including tax) from Western Coalfields Limited, a government PSU under Coal India. The contract involves establishing an MPLS VPN network for WCL on a rental basis for 60 months, to be executed by September 2031. The order was received on 19 August 2026 and is domestic with no related party involvement.
Five-year rental contract strengthens revenue visibility and order book; positive read-through though execution costs will shape margins.
