Ramchandra Leasing & Finance Ltd (a small NBFC) reported H1 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹33.75 lakhs, up roughly 85% from ₹18.28 lakhs in H1 FY25. Q2 FY26 revenue nearly doubled to ₹17.24 lakhs versus ₹7.40 lakhs a year ago. Profit after tax for the half year surged to ₹12.24 lakhs from just ₹0.23 lakhs, driven largely by sharply lower fees and commission expenses. The company also raised fresh equity of about ₹6.78 crores via a share premium issue, lifting total assets to ₹13.25 crores (from ₹6.38 crores) with investments of ₹3.04 crores and loans of ₹7.84 crores. Operating cash flow swung positive to ₹8.55 lakhs versus a ₹71 lakh outflow last year.
The sharp profit jump is largely a function of lower operating costs on a tiny revenue base rather than a structural improvement, so shareholders should read this with caution. The fresh equity infusion strengthens the balance sheet and supports growth in lending/investments, but the company's scale remains very small and the new auditor (Goyal Nagpal & Co.) replacing the previous firm is a notable governance point.
