Ravindra Energy's jointly controlled entity Energy In Motion Limited has opened an electric heavy-duty truck manufacturing complex at Talegaon, Pune. The facility integrates EV assembly, lithium-ion battery pack assembly and a battery testing lab. Initial capacity is 5000 vehicles per shift per year, as part of phase 1 of a 1000 crore investment plan expected to create 2000 plus jobs. Technology partners include Foton Motor, CATL and Shanghai Enneagon.
Positive for long-term EV story; EIM is a joint entity so direct near-term impact on Ravindra Energy is limited.
