RDB Infrastructure and Power Ltd has executed a slump sale agreement to sell its non-agricultural leasehold land of 10,667.52 sq. mtrs in Surat (Final Plot No. 98, Town Planning Scheme No. 7, Anjana) to Samprati Buildcon Private Limited. The total consideration is Rs. 60 Crores, of which Rs. 1 Crore has already been received and the remaining Rs. 59 Crores will come in within 6 months. The agreement was signed on 14th April 2025 with expected completion by 13th October 2025. The land contributed Nil to the company's turnover, revenue, or net worth, meaning this is a non-operating asset sale. The buyer is unrelated to the promoter group and the transaction is at arm's length. The company says the proceeds will strengthen liquidity, support operations, and provide flexibility for future growth opportunities.
This Rs. 60 Crore inflow is significant compared to the company's net worth of Rs. 37.42 Crores (FY24) and will substantially boost cash reserves. Since the asset being sold contributes nothing to revenue, shareholders should see this as a positive liquidity-enhancing move rather than a loss of earning capacity, though the deal is with an unrelated third party so no synergy upside.
