On the reaction day the stock moved 0.4 pts less than Nifty 100 and 1.3 pts less than its Financial Institution peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
On October 17, 2025, REC's wholly owned RECPDCL sold all 50,000 shares in each of Ananthapuram II Power Transmission and SR WR Power Transmission, including assets and liabilities. Consideration was Rs 7.70 crore and Rs 0.63 crore respectively, plus Rs 0.63 crore expense reimbursement for each. Buyers were Shivalaya Construction and Power Grid Corporation of India. The units had negligible financial contribution and are no longer REC subsidiaries.
The sold units had negligible financial contribution, so the modest cash inflow should have little effect on REC's earnings or share price.
