Refex Green Power Limited, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Refex Renewables & Infrastructure, has won a tender from Salem City Municipal Corporation to set up a 200 tonnes per day (TPD) municipal solid waste-based Bio-CNG plant in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The project will be executed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis for a concession period of 20 years. The estimated project cost is ₹65.07 crore, with the plant expected to be commissioned within 19 months of signing the concession agreement. The Letter of Acceptance was issued on March 28, 2025. The order has been awarded by a domestic government entity and is not a related-party transaction.
