Lords Mark Industries has received a manufacturing licence from the Central Licensing Authority under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017, to produce a Class D (high-risk) in-vitro diagnostic device — the LordsMed HIV 1&2 Self Test. The company highlights that it is only the second company in India and one of nine globally to secure this kind of licence for this device category. The licence is specifically for export markets including Africa, Latin America and Europe. The product will be manufactured at the company's facility in Vasai East, Palghar, Maharashtra, and has a shelf life of 24 months.
