Reliance Industries and Meta have announced a joint venture to build and scale enterprise AI solutions for Indian businesses using Meta's open-source Llama models. The JV will offer an Enterprise AI Platform-as-a-Service and pre-configured AI solutions for industries like sales, IT, customer service, and finance. Both companies will invest a combined ~INR 855 crore (~$100 million) initially, with Reliance holding 70% and Meta 30%. The JV targets Indian enterprises and SMBs, leveraging RIL's distribution reach and Meta's AI technology. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in Q4 2025.
This is a major strategic move for Reliance into the fast-growing enterprise AI space, partnering with one of the world's largest tech companies. It could open a significant new revenue stream and strengthen RIL's digital services portfolio, likely viewed positively by the market.
