RIL shareholders approved all 3 postal ballot resolutions via e-voting on Aug 20, 2026. Resolution 1 (material related party transactions of the company) passed with 99.21 percent in favour. Resolution 2 (RPTs for subsidiaries) also passed with 99.21 percent. Resolution 3, a special resolution altering the Objects Clause of the MOA, passed with 99.99 percent. The new sub-clause lets RIL enter businesses around ammonia, ammonium nitrate, ANFO, explosives including defence explosives, blasting agents, fertilisers and agro-chemicals.
Opens door for RIL to enter explosives (including defence) and fertilisers business, hinting at a new vertical. Related party deals cleared smoothly.
