Rulka Electricals' board has approved incorporating a subsidiary called NR Coppers Limited in the copper trading and processing business. Rulka will hold 51 percent and other investors 49 percent, with a paid-up capital of Rs 1 crore (10 lakh shares of Rs 10 each). This marks the company's diversification beyond electrical contracting into the non-ferrous metals sector, including sourcing, processing and supply of copper products.
Diversification move into copper trading may open new revenue streams, but the subsidiary is early-stage and near-term earnings impact remains unclear.
