SAL Automotive's board approved unaudited financial results for Q1 FY27 (quarter ended June 30, 2026). Total income rose to Rs. 11,610 lakhs from Rs. 10,020 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, with operating income up about 15.8% YoY. Net profit jumped to Rs. 205 lakhs from Rs. 93 lakhs (~120% growth), translating to EPS of Rs. 4.28 vs Rs. 1.79. The Automobile Components segment led the growth with revenue rising roughly 34% YoY, while Agriculture Implements was nearly flat. The board also approved re-appointment of Mr. Uttam Sahay as Independent Director (2nd term of 3 years) and Mr. Rama Kant Sharma as Managing Director (5-year term from Feb 2027), and alteration of the MOA, all subject to shareholder approval at the 51st AGM. The statutory auditor (Mangla Associates) issued an unqualified limited review report.
Strong profit growth — more than doubling YoY — driven by the Automobile Components segment is a positive signal for shareholders, though top-line growth of ~16% is modest. The leadership re-appointments signal continuity, and the clean auditor review removes near-term governance concerns.
