SAL Automotive posted strong Q1 FY27 results with total income rising to Rs. 11,610 lakhs from Rs. 10,020 lakhs in Q1 FY26, a growth of about 16%. Net profit after tax more than doubled to Rs. 205 lakhs (from Rs. 86 lakhs), translating to EPS of Rs. 4.28 vs Rs. 1.79. The Automobile Components segment drove most of the growth, with revenue up ~34% to Rs. 5,883 lakhs, while the Agriculture Implements segment was nearly flat at Rs. 5,703 lakhs. Profit before tax surged to Rs. 282 lakhs from Rs. 114 lakhs, reflecting better operating leverage. The statutory auditor (Mangla Associates) issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications. The Board also approved re-appointment of the Independent Director and Managing Director, and amendments to the MOA, subject to shareholder approval.
Sharp jump in profit and expanding margins signal a strong quarter for shareholders; the clean audit review and absence of any exceptional items or concerns reinforce a positive read on the stock.
