Samvardhana Motherson's subsidiary MGI BV has received all competition approvals needed to acquire 81% stake in Japan's Yutaka Giken Co. (YGCL), which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, along with 11% in Shinnichi Kogyo. Merger control clearances from China, Brazil, Mexico, Japan and the US were completed between December 2025 and January 29, 2026. MGI BV will now launch the tender offer in early February 2026 to close the deal originally announced in August 2025.
Deal moves closer to completion, expanding Motherson's auto components footprint in Japan. Tender offer launch may drive near-term stock attention.
