On the reaction day the stock moved 0.4 pts less than Nifty 100 and 0.8 pts less than its Auto Components & Equipments peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Through its 80%-owned Australian subsidiary MEPL, Motherson will acquire the business and assets of Rubbertec Group for A$5 million in cash, subject to closing adjustments and agreed conditions. The target supplies rubber linings, mining hose, wear parts and site maintenance services to Australia's mining sector. Its FY2025 turnover was A$8.6 million, down from A$11.4 million in FY2024. Completion is expected by Q3 of FY2026.
The deal expands Motherson's Australian mining reach and products. It is strategically positive but small, and completion remains conditional.
