SBFC reported Q2 FY27 loan assets of INR 12,592 crore, up 6% from the prior quarter and 27% year on year. Net profit was INR 139 crore, up 7% and 27%. The lending margin was 9.63%, loan-loss cost fell to 1.37% and return on equity reached 15.04%. Management guides to 5-7% quarterly loan-asset growth, lower operating costs and stable margins after a 25 basis point policy rate rise.
Positive: profit growth, asset quality and cost control support earnings, though gold-loan competition and higher funding costs cap margin upside.
