Board revised total capex for KMVC facility in Kolkata from Rs 228.6 Cr to Rs 291.2 Cr. This includes Rs 184 Cr (up from Rs 138 Cr) to raise MV Vacuum Interrupter capacity from 180,000 to 250,000 units per year, and Rs 107.2 Cr (up from Rs 90.6 Cr) for a new Mechanism Assembly Line. Target completion by Q1 FY29 (June 2028). Funded via internal accruals or borrowings. Aims to support exports and localization.
Higher capex signals growth investment; may raise debt but supports export and localization plans. Existing plant running near 90 percent utilization.
