Shakti Pumps will invest Rs 25 crore through equity shares in wholly owned subsidiary Shakti Energy Solutions to set up a greenfield solar cell and module plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, with planned capacity of 2.20 GW. The subsidiary's turnover rose from Rs 99.15 crore in FY23 to Rs 216.53 crore in FY25. The plant has not yet started operations.
The funding expands Shakti Pumps' solar manufacturing exposure, but construction costs, start-up timing and returns remain uncertain.
