Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has invested Rs. 7 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary Shakti Energy Solutions Limited (SESL) to set up a greenfield solar manufacturing facility. The new plant will produce Solar DCR cells and Solar PV modules with a capacity of 2.20 GW at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. SESL, incorporated in 2010, currently manufactures solar structures and rooftop systems, with FY25 turnover of Rs. 216.53 crore growing from Rs. 99.15 crore in FY23. The investment is being made through equity share subscription and does not constitute a related party transaction.
This investment signals Shakti Pumps' strategic expansion into solar cell and module manufacturing, potentially strengthening its position in the renewable energy sector. The significant 2.20 GW capacity indicates a major capex commitment that could drive future revenue growth but may impact near-term cash flows.
