The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways communicated approvals from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. Capt. B.K. Tyagi, currently CMD of Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), received ex-post facto approval for holding additional charge as CMD of SCILAL from 25.01.2024 to 31.12.2025 or until a regular appointee takes over. Shri Manjit Singh Saini, Director (Personnel & Administration) at SCI, had his additional charge as Director (Operations) of SCILAL regularized for the period 25.01.2024 to 31.01.2025. Saini superannuated from SCI on 31.01.2025 and consequently ceased to be a Director on SCILAL's board from 01.02.2025.
This is largely a procedural disclosure confirming previously held board arrangements. Shareholders should note that SCILAL continues to be led by an interim CMD from SCI, and a Director position remains vacant pending a regular appointment by the government.
