On the reaction day the stock moved 0.3 pts less than Nifty 100 and 0.2 pts more than its Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
India Ratings revised the outlook on Shriram Finance to Positive from Stable and affirmed ratings at IND AA plus across NCDs (Rs 3,59,259 million), bank loans (Rs 2,28,382 million), subordinated debt (Rs 76,200 million), fixed deposits and market linked debentures. Short-term debt reaffirmed at IND A1 plus. Revision follows MUFG Bank deal to acquire 20 percent stake for about Rs 400 billion, boosting net worth above Rs 1,000 billion.
Positive outlook signals potential further upgrade, lower borrowing costs and stronger investor confidence backed by MUFG equity infusion.
