SPR Auto Technologies (formerly Shriram Pistons & Rings) allotted 23.36 lakh shares to 45 investors at Rs 4,280 each via Qualified Institutions Placement, raising about Rs 1,000 crore. The price carries a 3.56 percent discount to the floor price. Key allottees include Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (10.12 percent), Prazim Trading (11 percent), BlackRock (4.5 percent), ICICI Prudential, SBI, Kotak and Axis mutual funds. Paid-up equity capital rose to Rs 46.39 crore.
Large QIP at a discount may pressure the stock short term, but marquee investor participation signals strong institutional confidence in the company.
