On the reaction day the stock moved 1.7 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.8 pts less than its Iron & Steel Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
On 16 October 2026, the company law tribunal approved merging Shree Venkateshwara Electrocast into Shyam Metalics' wholly-owned unit Shyam Sel and Power, effective 1 April 2024. Assets, liabilities, staff and contracts transfer to the unit, and it will be dissolved after registration. No shares will be issued. The merger unifies aluminium foil operations and enables use of its tax losses and depreciation, yielding tax and cash-flow savings.
Positive if implemented: simpler operations and tax savings may improve cash flow and earnings, with no share dilution expected.
