Signature Global has partnered with RMZ group to form a 50:50 joint venture for commercial development in Gurugram. RMZ will invest ₹1,293 crore to acquire a 50% equity stake in Signature Global's wholly owned subsidiary, Gurugram Commercity Limited (GCL), through a combination of share purchase and subscription. The two companies will jointly develop a large-scale mixed-use commercial project (offices, hotels, and retail) on the Southern Peripheral Road in Gurugram, with a developable area of 3.94 million sq ft. The project is expected to have a total capital value of ₹14,000–16,000 crore upon completion, making it Signature Global's first large-sized commercial real estate venture.
This deal brings in ₹1,293 crore of fresh capital, strengthens Signature Global's balance sheet, and gives it a high-value commercial development partner in RMZ, which manages over US$20 billion in real assets. The move marks a strategic diversification from residential housing into large-scale commercial real estate, which is positive for long-term growth and could be viewed favorably by the market.
