On the reaction day the stock moved 1.1 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 0.2 pts more than its Power Generation peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

SJVN has completed the 72-hour trial run of 660 MW Unit-2 of the 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar on 31 August 2026. The unit is now set for commercial operation. The project, built by SJVN's wholly owned subsidiary STPL, uses supercritical technology and has two units of 660 MW each. Once fully commissioned, it is expected to generate about 9,828.72 million units of electricity annually.
Unit-2 nearing commercial operation boosts SJVN's generation capacity and revenue potential. Full project to add significant annual power output.
