SJVN Limited announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the first unit (660 MW) of its 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar on August 22, 2025. The project, being implemented by SJVN's wholly-owned subsidiary SJVN Thermal Private Limited, involves a total investment of Rs. 13,756.56 crore and is expected to generate 9,828.72 million units of electricity annually.
