SML Isuzu has informed exchanges that the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has unconditionally approved the proposed transaction in which Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) will acquire equity shares of SML Isuzu from existing promoters Sumitomo Corporation and Isuzu Motors Limited. The deal involves M&M buying 63,62,306 shares from Sumitomo and 21,70,747 shares from Isuzu Motors, together totalling about 85.33 lakh shares. CCI has also approved the consequent open offer that M&M is required to make to public shareholders under takeover regulations. This was a follow-up to the share purchase agreements signed on 26th April 2025.
