SML Mahindra board approved acquiring parent Mahindra and Mahindra's Truck and Bus Division (MTBD) on a slump sale basis for Rs 525 crore cash, subject to working capital adjustments. MTBD posted Rs 2,989 crore turnover and sold 14,832 vehicles in FY26. M&M holds 58.97 percent in SML, making this a related party deal done at arm's length. BTA to be signed by August 7, 2026. Subject to shareholder approval, completion expected by January 2027.
