Somany Ceramics board approved three investments on 13 July 2026: (1) up to Rs 58.8 crore in Siravit Ceramics for up to 49% stake to set up about 9 million sq metres per annum Glazed Vitrified Tile capacity for southern India; (2) up to Rs 2 crore in Nepal-based V.S. Industries for up to 50% stake to enter Nepal construction chemicals market; (3) additional Rs 15 crore in subsidiary Sudha Somany Ceramics for plant modernization. Total commitment about Rs 75.8 crore.
Capacity expansion with new southern India tile plant, Nepal entry, and subsidiary upgradation - growth positive but execution and regulatory risks remain.
