SRM Contractors announced that India’s longest precast cut-and-cover tunnel, measuring 920 metres, was inaugurated on 7 December 2025 at 12,300 feet altitude in a sensitive border region. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh dedicated the project, built for the Ministry of Defence and the Border Roads Organisation. The tunnel will improve troop mobility, logistics and operational readiness in high-altitude terrain.
Positive sentiment as a high-profile showcase project strengthens SRM’s credibility in defence infrastructure and may help win more government contracts.
