Stallion India Fluorochemicals has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Rajasthan to set up a new R-32 refrigerant gas manufacturing plant in Bhilwara (Hurda) district. The proposed investment is ₹120 crore, with planned production of R-32 and other refrigerant gases including R-410a, R-404a, R-407C, R-454B, R-515B and R-513A. The company has already started the land acquisition process for this greenfield project. Direct employment from the project is expected to be around 30 people, with commercial production targeted to commence in 2026. RIICO (Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation) will facilitate necessary approvals and clearances.
This is a significant capacity expansion announcement for shareholders, signalling the company's growth plans in the refrigerant gas segment. The ₹120 crore investment in a new plant diversifies Stallion's product portfolio into HFC gases like R-32, which are increasingly used in air-conditioning and refrigeration applications. The market may view this positively as it represents a new revenue stream, though execution risk remains as production is not expected until 2026.
