SBI: CRISIL and CARE reaffirm ratings, assign new Tier I bond ratings

CRISIL and CARE Ratings reaffirmed SBI credit ratings with stable outlook. CRISIL assigned Crisil AA+/Stable to Rs 5,000 crore Tier I Basel III bonds and reaffirmed AAA/Stable on fixed deposits, infrastructure bonds, tier II bonds, and A1+ on certificates of deposit. CARE assigned CARE AA+ Stable to Rs 5,000 crore Tier I bonds and reaffirmed other ratings. Some Tier II bonds withdrawn due to redemption. Asset quality improved with GNPAs at 1.49 percent in FY26 versus 1.82 percent in FY25. Standalone PAT rose to Rs 80,032 crore in FY26 from Rs 70,901 crore.
