Steel Exchange India Ltd (SEIL) signed an MoU with NMDC Limited for long-term iron ore procurement. The 4-year MoU covers consistent grade iron ore fines (Fe 61 to 63 percent plus) from NMDC's upcoming Visakhapatnam Buffer Stockpile and Blending Yard. This secures raw material supply for SEIL's Vizianagaram plant, reducing freight costs and transit times. The deal follows SEIL's recent new Reheating Furnace startup and record monthly Re-Bar output of 24,823.509 MT, supporting capacity expansion.
Positive - secures raw material pipeline, lowers logistics costs, supports capacity expansion. No immediate financials; MoU precedes binding LTAs.
