Strides Pharma Science, through its step-down subsidiary Strides Pharma International AG, has signed definitive agreements with Sandoz AG to acquire and in-license a portfolio of branded generic products across Sub-Saharan Africa, covering Western Sahara (10 countries), Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. The portfolio spans anti-infective, cardiovascular, and dermatology segments, with several brands individually generating over US$1 million in annual sales. The initial deal value is US$ 12 million, payable at closing and funded entirely through internal accruals, with no debt or equity dilution. The combined business is expected to make Strides one of the top five pharmaceutical players in SSA and among the top two in the representable market, more than doubling its regional presence. The transaction is expected to be EPS-accretive and close by end of Q2 FY27 (September 2026), subject to regulatory and antitrust approvals.
