On the reaction day the stock moved 0.2 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.6 pts less than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Sterling Wilson filed a Commercial Summary Suit against Axis Bank. The Bombay High Court has granted Axis Bank leave to defend, subject to depositing Rs 61.40 crores within six weeks. If Axis Bank deposits the amount, the suit moves to the Commercial Causes list and Axis Bank must file its written statement within four weeks of the deposit. If Axis Bank does not deposit the amount within six weeks, Sterling Wilson can apply for an exparte decree. The case remains ongoing and no final ruling has been given.
Outcome pending. Positive for shareholders if Axis Bank fails to deposit Rs 61.4 cr within six weeks, allowing an exparte decree in the company favour.
