On the reaction day the stock moved 1.9 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 2.4 pts less than its Plywood Boards/ Laminates peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Promoters of Stylam Industries have signed deals to sell up to 40% stake to Japan's Aica Kogyo Company at Rs 2,250 per share in two tranches. SPA 1 covers 27.12% from Seller Group 1 (Pushpa, Dipti and Manav Gupta) and SPA 2 covers 12.88% from Seller Group 2 (Jagdish, Saru and Nidhi Gupta). A separate shareholders agreement gives Aica joint control after the first tranche, with rights to nominate up to 8 of 15 board directors. An open offer under takeover rules will follow at the same price.
Change of control to Japanese acquirer. Open offer at Rs 2,250/share acts as a price floor. Watch for deal completion and board changes.
