Sun Pharma has launched LEQSELVI (deuruxolitinib) 8 mg tablets in the United States for the treatment of adults with severe alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition causing patchy or total hair loss. The drug is an oral JAK1/JAK2 inhibitor and is now available by prescription nationwide in the US, following its prior FDA approval. In clinical trials (THRIVE-AA1 and THRIVE-AA2), one-third of patients regained almost all of their hair by Week 24, with some achieving 80%+ scalp coverage as early as 8 weeks.
