On the reaction day the stock moved 0.9 pts more than Nifty 100 and 1.0 pts more than its Pharmaceuticals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
India's National Company Law Tribunal approved Sun Pharma's plan to merge five wholly owned units into the parent company, effective 1 April 2023: Sun Pharmaceutical Medicare, Green Eco Development Centre, Faststone Mercantile, Realstone Multitrade and Skisen Labs. It also shifts the General Reserve to Retained Earnings. Sun Pharmaceutical Medicare posted FY2024 income of Rs 3.42 billion and operating profit of Rs 118.4 million.
Likely limited immediate effect on share count or earnings. The consolidation may simplify group structure and reporting.
