Supra Trends Limited's board approved acquiring 51% equity stake (26,010 shares of Rs. 10 each) in Celest Hospitalities Private Limited for a total cash consideration of Rs. 2,60,100, making it a subsidiary. Celest Hospitalities runs restaurants and banquet halls, reported turnover of just Rs. 3 lakhs in FY25, and was incorporated only on January 31, 2025. The deal is not a related-party transaction and required no government approvals. Supra stated the acquisition is part of a strategy to expand into restaurants, banquet, food & beverage, and packaged food businesses. Separately, the board appointed Independent Director Mr. Koduganti Raghavendra Kumar to the board of its existing material subsidiary, Rasvat Food Specialties Private Limited, to comply with SEBI LODR regulations.
The deal is financially tiny (Rs. 2.6 lakhs for 51% of a freshly incorporated company with negligible turnover), so it is unlikely to move the needle on near-term earnings. However, it signals a strategic diversification into the hospitality and F&B sector for Supra Trends, which shareholders should monitor as the company consolidates this new line of business.
